Powers of Attorney – can you claim a fee refund?
Did you apply to register a Power of Attorney (either a Lasting Power of Attorney or an Enduring Power of Attorney) between 1 April 2013 and 31 March 2017?
If so then you can apply for a refund of part of the fee. The application can be made either by the donor (the person who appointed the attorney) or the attorney, but the refund must be paid to the donor.
Unless the donor doesn’t have a bank account, or has died, or the attorney is a court-appointed deputy, the application can be made online:

Unless you paid a reduced fee (in which case you’ll get half the refund), the amount of the refund will be:
When you paid the fee | Refund for each power of attorney |
April to September 2013 | £54 |
October 2013 to March 2014 | £34 |
April 2014 to March 2015 | £37 |
April 2015 to March 2016 | £38 |
April 2016 to March 2017 | £45 |
