We have extensive experience and expertise in drafting Wills whatever the nature of your estate and advising on Inheritance Tax planning.

A Last Will & Testament is a legal document that sets out how you wish your assets to be distributed on your death. We can draft your will and advise you on the provisions that should be contained in it, for example, to appoint guardians for your children and/or to help you pass on your estate more tax efficiently and to ring-fence assets in the event of a change in circumstances.

A Will can be used effectively to make provision for vulnerable people after you have died, for example, the care of young children or family members who are unable to manage their own funds

If you die without a Will, the distribution of your estate is governed by a set of rules called ‘intestacy’ which gives priority to certain members of your family, without any regard for what might have been intended. Usually the closest relative is entitled to apply for a ‘Grant of Letters of Administration’ from the Probate Registry which gives them authority to deal with the estate.
